
Henniker, NH- In an exciting matchup, the Lasell University men's soccer team faced New England College, resulting in a 2-2 draw.
The Lasers struck early, with Mpumelelo Maphumulo scoring an unassisted goal just three minutes into the match. However, New England College's Santiago Sanchez quickly responded, finding the back of the net five minutes later to level the score at 1-1. The remainder of the first half was marked by scoring opportunities for both teams, but neither could convert.
After the break, the tension continued as the teams returned still tied. New England College took the lead in the 50th minute with a goal from Patrick Tewksbury, assisted by Wyatt Flibbert. In the closing moments of the match, the Lasers ramped up their offensive efforts and managed to equalize in the 87th minute.
Lasell outshot New England College 19-13. Goalkeeper Antonio Centracchio played a crucial role in the match, making five saves to keep his team competitive.
