Trinity Tops Men's Lacrosse 13-7

HARTFORD, Conn. - The Lasell College men's lacrosse team fell short to the Trinity College Bantams, 13-7, in a non-conference match-up Monday evening. The Bantams hand the Lasers their first loss since March 1, and drops Lasell to 8-3, while the Bantams improve to 4-9.

John Caraviello (Wellesley, Mass.) put the Bantams on the board early, giving Trinity a 1-0 lead with 14:20 remaining in the first. Austin Shindoll (Denver, Colo.) knotted the game at 1-1 minutes later at 11:40 remaining in the first, who led Lasell's scoring with two goals on the day.

Ben Knaus (Ross, Calif.) used a career-high six goals, including two in the first quarter, to lift pace the Bantams over the Lasers.

Michael Susi (Gorham, Maine) knotted the game at 3-3 with 13:53 remaining in the second, but goals by Ben Ferricci (Essex, Conn.) and Troy Hanlon (New Vernon, N.J.) would put Trinity up 5-3 heading into the break.

Austin Tomasetti (Elmsford, N.Y.) added his lone goal in the third for the Lasers, and led the team with three assists despite the loss. Ryan Madden (Hingham, Mass.) and Shindoll both finished the game with two goals apiece.

Trinity would use five fourth quarter goals to knock off the Lasers, holding a 13-5 lead with 4:46 remaining, with Lasell grabbing two quick goals to end the game.

Connor Johnson (Hampstead, N.H.) continued his dominant senior campaign leading the Lasers with seven groundballs. Scott Morgan (Grand Rapids, Mich.) led Trinity with seven groundballs as well.

Jorge Salazar (Waltham, Mass.) made 20 saves in the loss for the Lasers, while Woody Hamilton (Williamstown, Mass.) recorded nine for Trinity.

The Lasers have a quick turnaround as they travel to Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe St. Joseph's (ME) in Portland, Maine at 7:00pm on April 18. Trinity returns to NESCAC play on April 22 at Hamilton College at 1:00pm.
