Men's Lacrosse Selected to Finish Second in GNAC Preseason Poll

NEWTON, Mass. (2/10/16) – The Lasell men's lacrosse team totaled 62 votes to tie Johnson and Wales University for second place in the 2016 GNAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. As voted upon by the league's nine head coaches, Emmanuel College took the poll favorite with seven first place votes for 78 total.

The Lasers ended the 2015 season at 9-7 overall (5-3 GNAC) after the Saints came out on top in the GNAC semifinal match, 9-6. The Lasers will rely on all-conference veterans from last season and will begin a new era with head coach Bill Mason.

Prior to Bates, Mason returned to his Alma Mater, Western New England University, as the offensive assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. As an undergrad, Mason was a three-year member of the Golden Bears lacrosse program, earning a Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship during his first year.
