Four Lasers Appointed to GNAC All-Conference Teams

NEWTON, Mass. (4/28/15) – Senior Aaron LaPorte (Gorham, Maine) and juniors Andrew Suh (Colchester, Conn.) Mike Pino (Tewksbury, Mass.), and Casey Sullivan (Quaker Hill, Conn.) received All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honors as voted upon by the league's nine head coaches. LaPorte, Suh, and Pino were named to the First Team, while Sullivan was placed on the Second Team.

Suh, who was named on the GNAC First Team for the second year in a row, tallied 19 goals on the year with 11 assists for 30 total points. LaPorte was awarded with his first All-GNAC recognition after a standout year in midfield, scoring 20 goals and 13 helpers alongside 13 ground balls. Pino improved to the GNAC First Team after serving as a defenseman on the Second Team in 2014, and anchored the Lasers on defense, as he collected 32 ground balls on the year while forcing 13 turnovers.

Sullivan, also a repeat All-Conference athlete, fueled the Lasers' offense, scoring a team-high 30 goals (seven on the man-up advantage) and 17 assists for 47 overall points. Sullivan scooped up 22 ground balls in all 16 contests for Lasell.

Sophomore Chase Swift (Branford, Conn.) was elected as the Lasell representative on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team and finished the year with five total points and 65 wins in the faceoff circle.
