Puopolo and Fernandes Highlight Five All-GNAC Selections in Men's Lacrosse

Newton, Mass. (4/29/13) - The Lasell College men's lacrosse team had a pair of sophomores, Andy Puopolo and Dylan Fernandes named to the 2013 Great Northeast Athletic Conference First Team, while seniors Atticus Robert and Matt Keiler were joined on the Second Team by sophomore Eric Marcantonio. Sophomore Robbie Palazzo was named to the GNAC Sportsmanship team.

Puopolo was the leading point getter for the Lasers during the 2013 campaign, totaling 56 points on 37 goals and 19 assists. He ranked fourth overall in the GNAC in points, and was tied for first in the GNAC in points during conference games. 

Fernandes was third on the team in goals and points, his 32 goals and nine assists were excellent offensive production for a midfielder. He ranked fourth on the team in ground balls with 35, and ranked ninth in the GNAC in goals scored.

Keiler and Marcantonio were named to the All-GNAC Second Team as defensemen, while Atticus Robert was chosen as the second team's Long Stick Specialist. All three players started all 16 games for Lasell, the only players to accomplish that feat during the 2013 season. Robert lead the team in caused turnovers with 26 and in ground balls with 61 and Marcantonio and Keiler finished second and third on the team in turnovers caused with 15 and 14 respectively. 

Palazzo tallied 38 goals and 11 assists, and was selected to the GNAC Sportsmanship team for the 2013 season.
