Men's Lacrosse Knocks Off Becker

LEICESTER, Mass. –Becker College dropped a 19-12 decision to Lasell College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference men's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field. The win lifts the Lasers to 4-4 (3-0 GNAC), while the Hawks fall to 3-7 (2-3 GNAC).

Lasell jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter and the Hawks failed to recover. Lasell was led by sophomore Robbie Palazzo(Redding, Conn.) who scored a game high seven goals. Andy Puopolo (Duxbury, Mass.) chipped in with four goals and three assists. Dylan Fernandes (Billerica, Mass.) and Lads Shaello-Johnson (Binghamton, Mass.) finished with two goals each.

Lasell goalies David Walen (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Chris Thomas-Ikier (Burlington, Mass.) combined to make ten saves in a winning effort.

Hawks senior Jeff Petersen (Syracuse, N.Y.) finished the game with four goals and an assist, and Deschenes (Gales Ferry, Conn.) added three goals and an assist in the loss.

Becker goalie Michael Munoz (Avon, Conn.) turned away three shots in the loss.

Becker returns to action on Wednesday, April 3 when they travel to Nichols College for a 7:00 p.m. tilt with the Bison. Lasell continues their GNAC schedule on Tuesday, April 2 when they host Norwich University at 3:30 p.m.
