Dylan Gray Reaches 100 Point Milestone in 8-2 Lasell Victory Over Emmanuel

Newton, Mass. – The Lasell College men's lacrosse team ran their conference record to a perfect 8-0 with an 8-2 defeat over Emmanuel College. The Lasers improved to 10-4 overall with the win, while the Saints fell to 6-8 on the year and 2-6 in the GNAC. Lasell junior Dylan Gray (Bayport, N.Y.) collected the 100th point of his Lasell career with his first quarter goal, becoming the fourteenth player in program history to reach the mark.

Dylan Gray scored a game-high three goals to lead Lasell, and Don Berube (Tewksbury, Mass.) turned in another stellar performance in the net, making 11 saves while holding Emmanuel to two goals on the day. Jake Jaskolski (St. Clair Shores, Mich.) and Brian O'Regan (Milton, Mass.) each scored for Emmanuel.

After a quiet opening seven minutes, Lasell's Dan Clark (Scarborough, Me.) drilled the ball past the Saints net-minder to put Lasell up 1-0 with 7:42 remaining in the first quarter. Dylan Gray then found the back of the net 13 seconds later, to give the hosts a 2-0 lead. Jake LaMorte (Walpole, Mass.) finished a pretty pass from Chris Livelli (Hillsborough, N.J.) with 2:55 remaining in the first for a 3-0 edge and Adam Foss (Billerica, Mass.) tallied an unassisted goal with 1:43 left to give Lasell a 4-0 lead after the opening fifteen minutes.

Brian O'Regan got Emmanuel on the board with 7:58 to play in the second quarter but a Dylan Gray goal from Jake LaMorte restored the Lasers four goal cushion at 5-1 at the half. Lasell held a 17-5 edge on shots in the opening half and a 14-5 advantage in ground balls.

Ladson Shaello-Johnson (Binghamton, N.Y.) scored the lone goal of the third quarter for Lasell putting them up 6-1. Jaskolski scored eight seconds into the fourth quarter to trim the lead to 6-2 but the Saints were unable to bring the game any closer as Dylan Gray and Austin Mishaw (Wilmington, Del.) scored to close the game out. Austin Lauzier (Bedford, N.H.) finished with 14 saves on the afternoon for Emmanuel facing 35 shots, 22 of which were on goal.

Lasell will host Becker College in their final regular season game on Saturday April 21st at 1pm. Emmanuel will close out their regular season with a visit to Anna Maria on the 21st in a game also slated for a 1pm start.
