Lasell Triumphs Over Rivier in Men's Lacrosse

The Lasell College men's lacrosse team picked up their seventh straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory, outscoring Rivier College 21-2 to remain perfect at 7-0 in conference play. the Lasers improved to 9-4 on the season while Rivier dropped to 4-7 overall and 1-6 in the conference.

Thirteen different players scored for Lasell, who was paced by Mike Dupont (Dover, N.H.) with four goals and one assist and Dylan Gray (Bayport, N.Y.) who added a goal and three assists on the afternoon. The Lasers jumped out to a 9-0 lead after the first quarter, and held an 11-0 edge before Rivier got on the board with 7:48 remaining in the second quarter. Lasell held a 15-2 lead at the break and rolled to a 21-2 win.

Charles Graham (Londonderry, N.H.), Robbie Palazzo (Redding, Conn.), Billy Wood (Brewster, N.Y.), Jake LaMorte (walpole, Mass.), Kevin Malloy (Newton, Mass.) and Jason Donovan (Weymouth, Mass.)added two goals apiece for Lasell. Don Berube (Tewksbury, Mass.) put up a scoreless first quarter in goal before yielding to Luke Grayson (Peabody, Mass.), who went the rest of the way, stopping six of the eight shots he faced.

Lasell will play their final two regular season games at home, taking on Emmanuel on Thursday April 19th at 4pm, and hosting Becker on Saturday April 21st at 1 o'clock.
