Men's Lacrosse Ups GNAC Record to 2-0 with 19-6 Win

BOSTON, Mass. – The Lasell College men's lacrosse team defeated Emerson College 19-6 on Wednesday afternoon. With the loss Emerson falls to 0-2 on the year and 0-2 in conference play as the Lasers improve to 4-4 overall and 2-0 in the GNAC.

The first half saw the Lasers put up 11 goals in the first two periods, scoring six times in the first and five in the second. Lasell's Jake LaMorte (Walpole, MA) and Kevin Malloy (Newton, MA) both led the way with three goals apiece as the Lasers had twelve different players score and ten players tally assists, led by Lasdson Shaello Johnson (Binghamton, NY) with three.

Max Smith scored twice in the second quarter, in the sixth minute of play and again with :32 seconds on the clock sending the teams into the break with Lasell up 11-2.

Lasell held a 3-2 advantage in third period scoring taking a 14-4 lead into the final quarter, and outscoring the hosts 5-2 over the final 15 minutes to close out the 19-6 final.

Luke Grayson (Peabody, MA) earned the first win of his collegiate career in goal, while Donald Welch took the loss for Emerson.

Lasell will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Anna Maria for their third GNAC game of the year.
