Men’s Lacrosse Sweeps the Competition in First Ever GNAC Weekly Honors

Sophomore attackman Dylan Gray (Bayport, NY), senior goalkeeper Eric Walsh (Weymouth, MA), and freshman midfielder Dylan Fernandes (Billerica, MA) became the first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's lacrosse Player of the Week, Goalkeeper of the Week, and Rookie of the Week, respectively, sweeping the inaugural release of GNAC weekly awards.  

In three games this week, the Lasers went 1-3 overall, recording a 9-8 overtime win over Roger Williams University, while falling to Bates College (8-1) and Plymouth State University (12-6).   

Gray had an outstanding game against Roger Williams, with impressive stats of five assists and one goal, including the assist on the game-winning goal in the extra session.  Fernandes also had a strong week for the Lasers, averaging a point per game in his first week of collegiate competition, scoring one assist against Roger Williams and adding two goals while playing Plymouth State on Saturday.  

Walsh made 50 total saves this week in the goal for Lasell, averaging over 16 saves per game.  He recorded 15 saves against Bates, made 20 stops against Roger Williams while earning his first win of the year, and finished the week with 15 saves against Plymouth.
