Newton, MA - The Lasell University Men's Basketball team defeated the Dean Bulldogs in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday by a final score of 97-69. With the win the Lasers move to 7-5 on the season, while the Bulldogs are 5-6.

The Lasers grabbed control early, holding a 16-5 lead just four minute in. They would build the lead up to 15 midway through the half, and was extended to 19 with under seven remaining in the half. But a 12-1 run by Dean brought them back into the game, and the Lasers would lead by just eight at the break, by a score of 42-34. Andy Madesko would lead the Lasers with 14 points at the break.

After Dean cut the lead to four early in the second half, the Lasers would slowly build up a double digit lead, eventually using a 16-0 run over a five minute period to grab a 76-47 lead. They would get up to as many as 33 before taking home the win by a final score of 97-69.

The Lasers had five double-digit scorers, led by Marcus Lewis' 18. Behind him were Che Hanks (17), Any Madesko (14), Greg Farrow (12), and Demerrick Warren (12). For Warren, it marked his first game of the season, as he returned from an injury suffered during the summer. Hanks and Madesko each led the team in other categories with seven assists and nine rebounds respectively.
