MBB: Lasers End First Half With Loss at Worcester State

Worcester, MA - The Lasell Lasers fell to the Worcester State Lancers by a final score of 76-63 on Saturday. The loss drops the Lasers to 6-5 on the season, while the Lancers are now 6-4.

In the early minutes, the Lasers controlled the pace, and went up 15-9 five minutes in. After a 7-0 run from the Lancers gave them the lead, the two teams would trade the lead a couple of times. The two teams sat tied at 20 with nine minutes remaining in the half, but the Lancers would grab control, and take a 46-27 lead at the break. The second half saw the Lasers fight, but they were unable to get the lead down into single digits.

Both Marcus Lewis and Che Hanks scored 10 points to lead the team, while Andy Madesko and Caden Arnold each scored nine. Madesko also grabbed a career high 14 rebounds, and dished out a team high four assists.

Up next - The Lasers will have the next three weeks off, returning to play on January 2nd to host Dean in a non-conference match at 7pm.
