Newton, MA - The Lasell Lasers fell to 3-2 on the season with a 86-85 loss in overtime to the now 3-1 Wentworth Leopards.

The two teams remained close all game, with the Leopards holding a slim 38-36 halftime lead. It was the same story in the second half, and with just seconds remaining the Lasers held the ball down 73-70. Off a pass from Greg Farrow, Marcus Lewis launched a contested three into the air, and hit nothing but net, sending the game to overtime. The Leopards would go up by as many as five, and led 84-79 with just 90 seconds remaining. But another clutch three pointer from Lewis made it a two point game, followed by a jumper from Che Hanks to tie things up at 84 with a minute remaining. Hanks would later be fouled with just five seconds remaining. he would make the first free throw, but missed the second. Off the rebound the Leopards were able to make it down the court, where Tyler Stewart was fouled with two second remaining. Despite a raucaus crowd doing everything in their power to destract him, Stewart was able to knock down both shots to give the Leopards a 86-85 lead. Che Hanks' half court heave at the buzzer would bounce harmlessly off the backboard, ending the game.

It was a one man wrecking crew for the Lasers, as Marcus Lewis had a career game. He scored 36 points on 13-19 shooting, and 6-9 shooting from three point range. He also led the team in rebounds with eight and assists with five. Also scoring in double digits was Quinton Partee Jr. as he scored 11. He would add three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Coming off the bench was Andy Madesko, and he scored 12, while also grabbing six rebounds.
