Coach Russell is now in her fourth season as assistant field hockey coach at Lasell, and is in her first season as head women's lacrosse coach after three years as an assistant.

Russell joined the Lasell staff as assistant field hockey coach in 2016 after having spent four years as a standout three-sport athlete at Salem State as a pivotal member of the field hockey, women’s ice hockey, and women’s lacrosse programs. Among her many athletic accolades, Russell was recognized as field hockey offensive player of the year in 2014, the team’s most valuable player in 2015, and served as the team’s captain during her last two seasons.  In her senior year, Russell started in all 17 games for the Vikings, and tallied four goals and three assists.

Russell also served as team captain for the Vikings women’s ice hockey and lacrosse teams. As the 2014 and 2015 MVP in lacrosse, Russell was also a MASCAC First Team All-Conference player in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

An Arlington, Mass. native, Russell currently utilizes her avid leadership skills as an assistant coach with Snipers Lacrosse, and as an ice hockey instructor with pro ambitions hockey. 

Russell received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications in May 2016, with a minor in Sport Management.
