Cait Connolly is in her 12th year at Lasell University in 2021-22. She was named Assistant Athletic Director in November 2021 and also serves as the department’s Senior Woman Administrator.

In her new position with Lasell Athletics, Connolly is responsible for assisting in the overall administration of the varsity athletic program, overseeing NCAA compliance and the coordination of club sports, intramurals and recreation. She also assists with event management responsibilities and department-wide programming.

Connolly served as field hockey coach the past 12 seasons and compiled an overall record of 101-109, including a 40-45 mark in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. She was voted GNAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2017 and guided the Lasers to three consecutive GNAC championship game appearances from 2017-19. During that three-year run, the Lasers went 40-21 overall and 18-4 in the GNAC.

She coached the Lasers to 31 All-Conference selections, including a GNAC Defensive Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Lasell compiled winning seasons in the GNAC during each of Connolly’s final four seasons, excluding the COVID-19-canceled 2020 fall season.

Connolly also served as Lasell's women's lacrosse coach from 2011-20, capturing GNAC championships and NCAA Tournament berths in 2013 and 2016. She led the team to runner-up finishes in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2018, and posted a combined record of 116-50, including 70-15 in GNAC games.

Connolly came to Lasell after a three-year stint at Daniel Webster where she was appointed the first head coach of the field hockey and women's lacrosse programs at the college in January 2007. Charged with establishing two varsity programs from scratch, Connolly's programs saw significant progress during her time there.

Prior to arriving at Daniel Webster, Connolly spent the previous two seasons as assistant field hockey coach and one season as assistant women's lacrosse coach at then-Division II Bryant. During her tenure at Bryant, Connolly was part of a field hockey program that posted a remarkable turnaround season in 2006 with an 11-10 mark, including a 9-7 record in Northeast-10 Conference play and a berth in the conference tournament, after the Bulldogs had previously posted a 5-12 mark in the 2005 season. The Bryant lacrosse team posted a record of 11-2 (8-2 NE-10) in 2006, qualifying for the NE-10 Final Four.

A native of Manchester, New Hampshire, Connolly was a standout in field hockey and basketball at Central High School. She attended Regis where she earned degrees in Communications and English, graduating in 2005. Connolly put together a memorable field hockey career at Regis as a four-time Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Conference first team selection at midfield, including earning Rookie of the Year honors in 2001. She went on to earn National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-American Regional honors in 2004 and was a three-time NFHCA Academic All-American (2002-04). Connolly was inducted into the Regis Athletics Hall of Fame in 2019.

Connolly, who graduated as the Pride's all-time career leader in goals (29), assists (16) and points (74), also owns program records for points (26) and goals (10) in a season (2004). She was part of a program that ended six straight losing seasons with solid 9-9 and 10-10 campaigns in 2003 and 2004, respectively, which also included berths in the CCC postseason tournament.

Connolly and her husband have two children.
