FH: Blaha and Playle Named to All-Region First Team

Geneva, NY - This week NFHCA named their all-region teams, and two Lasell Field Hockey players were recognized with first team honors in Sheridan Blaha and Abbey Playle.

Blaha, a senior, finished the season with a school record 24 goals. Her 55 points on the season also led the team, and broke Lily Stark's record of 54 from last year for points in a single season in school history. She finishes her career at Lasell with 53 goals in 54 games, and 122 points. She ranks third all-time in goals and points, while her 16 career assists rank sixth.

Playle was one of the top scorers in all of Division III this year, ranking in the top-10 nationally in goals per game and points per game. She scored 18 goals during the regular season and collected 13 assists giving her 49 points on the season. A lot of her damage was done in conference play as she ranked third in the GNAC with 14 goals and first in assists with 13. She recorded six multi-goal games including three hat tricks and had six instances in which she registered five or more points in a single game. Four of her tallies also accounted for game-winners.
