Newton, MA - For the first time all season, the Lasell Field Hockey were unable to find victrory, as they fell to the JWU Wildcats on Saturday bu a 3-1 final score. Both teams are now 12-1 on the season and 9-1 in GNAC play.

The Lasers, playing in front of a huge crowd, struck first, as Sheridan Blaha scored a goal for the 13th consecutive game, giving her 19 on the year. That would give the Lasers a 1-0 lead they would bring into the second. But the Wildcats bookended the quarter with goals, scoring 90 second into the quarter, and with just 35 seconds left in the half, taking a 2-1 lead into the half. After a scoreless third, the Lasers began to play a little bit more desperate, and had chances by Lily Stark, Sheridan Blaha, and Abbey Playle, but all were thwarted. The Wildcats would add a late goal in the third to take the game 3-1.

Courtney Tello was her usual self in goal, making 11 saves. She was pepered all game, and was a huge reason why the Lasers were able to stay in the match despite being outshot 16-3 in the second half.

Up Next - The Lasers will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they travel to Saint Joseph's Maine for a 6pm start.
