Paxton, MA - The Lasell Field Hockey team moved their record to 12-0 on the season, and 9-0 in GNAC play on Tuesday after defeating Anna Maria 5-0. The AMCATS are now 2-10 and 2-6. The Lasers are now one of just four undefeated teams remaining in the country with Middlebury, Ohio Wesleyan, and Christopher Newport.

Despite an unusually slow first quarter for the Lasers, one where they didn't score, the Lasers came out firing in the second. Lily Stark scored 30 seconds into the quarter, and the Lasers didn't look back after that. Paige Jette would then score her first career goal to make it 2-0, followed by Isabella O'Reilly to make it 3-0 going into halftime.

The Lasers would add to their lead midway through the third quarter, as Sheridan Blaha found the back of the goal for the 18th time this season, and 12th straight game. That extends a school record she broke earlier this season for consecutive games scoring a goal. The previous record was seven.

After going the first 30 games of her career without scoring a goal, Maddie Sewade would score for the second straight game, scoring just 20 second after Blaha, ending the scoring and making the final score 5-0.

Both Courtney Tello and Abby Boudreau each played a half in goal and made two saves each. Tello picked up the win, her 12th of the season.

Up Next - The Lasers will face their toughest test of the season on Saturday when they host JWU. JWU was previously undefeated prior to losing to NEC on Tuesday. That game will start at 11am.
