Boston, MA - After falling to Simmons in the GNAC Semifinals last season, the Lasell Field Hockey got a form of revenge, defeating the Sharks 2-1 on Saturday. It is the Lasers first win over the Sharks since 2019, snapping a three game losing streak to Simmons. The Lasers are now 9-0 on the season and 6-0 in GNAC play, while the Sharks are 7-2 and 4-2.

All the scoring in this game came in the first quarter, starting with a Sheridan Blaha goal in the fifth minute. After the Sharks scored a goal of their own 16 seconds later, the Lasers took th elead right back in the 11th minute on a Lily Stark goal. That would be it for the game, as both teams played well defensively.

The Lasers sent Courtney Tello out in net, and she stopped five of the six shots she faced in the win.

With her goal Stark now has 100 career points. At 9-0, the Lasers are one of only six DIII teams in the country that are undefeated.

Up next - The Lasers will host Dean on Wednesday at 5pm.
