Landry Named Three-Time GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week

NEWTON, Mass. (10/24/16) – Sophomore Denise Landry (New Milford, Conn.) earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this year, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Landry backstopped the Lasers to a 2-0 week against non-conference opponents Framingham State and Western Connecticut. Landry stopped 12 of 14 shots faced, posting a 0.94 goals-against average. In a 3-2 overtime thriller, Landry recorded eight saves before she used four saves to shut out Framingham State, 3-0, in her third clean slate of the season.

Landry and the Lasers now await their conference postseason fate, as the GNAC quarterfinals begin on Saturday, October 29.
