NEWTON, Mass. (10/26/15) – Lasell College field hockey senior Cristina Wilson (Wilmington, Mass.) and freshman Julia Franzik (Wallingford, Conn.) earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias weekly accolades as announced on Monday afternoon via the conference office.
Wilson earned GNAC Player of the Week after leading the Lasers to a 2-1 finish with three goals for six total points. The Wilmington, Mass. native registered a single tally in a 4-1 victory over Framingham State before netting two goals in a 3-0 shutout at Rivier. Among conference stat leaders, Wilson ranks 5th overall in goals with 11 thus far.
Franzik played to this week's GNAC Rookie with a combined five points this for Lasell, as she added two unassisted goals and a single assist. Franzik opened up the scoring against Framingham State with an unassisted tally - later accompanied by an assist - before she added Lasell's second goal of the game against Rivier.
