Robbins and Gleason Take GNAC Second Team Honors

NEWTON, Mass. (11/12/14) – Senior Brianna Robbins (Auburn, Maine) and junior Ashley Gleason (Suffield, Conn.) earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference Field Hockey Second Team All-Conference honors for the 2014 season.

Robbins performed in all 18 matches for the Lasers, registering one assist. Robbins served as team captain this season, guiding the team with leadership, dedication and diligence. The senior defender finishes her four-year stint with 68 total games played.

Gleason appeared in 17 matches for the Lasers, dishing out six goals and seven assists. Her 2014 season proved to be her best, scoring 19 points on the year. The junior midfielder scored three game-winning goals this season, contributing to six team victories. The Suffield, Conn. native continues to improve her performance each year, notching four points during her freshman year and 15 points in her sophomore year, respectively. After her three-year span at Lasell, Gleason will enter her senior season with 38 total points.

Freshman defender Shannon Motz (Readington, N.J.) was elected as the Lasell College representative for the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
