Cooper and Cronin Help Lasell Field Hockey Earn NFHCA All-Academic Honors

NEWTON, Mass. (3/19/14) – The Lasell College field hockey team placed thirteen players on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-Academic team. The team was recognized for having achieved a 3.0 grade point average collectively during the fall of 2013 semester by the NFHCA in addition to the individual achievements.

In order to receive All-Academic status by the NFHCA players must have achieved a grade point average of 3.30 during the fall semester. Seniors Rachel Cronin and Emily Cooper headline the Lasers honorees, being named to the All-Academic team by the NFHCA all four years of their Lasell career. They were joined by senior Jennifer McGurgan, juniors Taylor Hulitzky and Brianna Robbins, sophomores Ashlee Pechulis, Danielle Hottin, Kristine Jackson, and Taylor Sheehan along with freshmen Courtney Braman, Katelyn Dombrowski, Sam Mornhineway, and Katie Naum.

The Lasers field hockey team, coming off 10 wins, the second best season in program history relative to on-field success also recorded a team grade point average of 3.18 in the fall of 2013 semester.
