NASHUA, N.H. (10/22/13) - The Lasell College field hockey team scored a 3-0 North Atlantic Conference victory over Rivier University at Raider Field. The win pushed the Lasers record to 10-7 for the season and 4-3 in NAC play. The ten wins is the second time in the program history they have reached double digit victories in a season, and the 2013 team is one win away from tying the most wins in program history. Rivier dropped to 4-12 on the season while remaining winless in the NAC at 0-7.

Cristina Wilson (Wilmington, Mass.), Ashley Gleason (Suffield, Conn.) and Danielle Hottin (N. Branford, Conn.) each tallied goals for Lasell in the contest.

Lasell generated the majority of the scoring chances in the opening half, holding a 6-0 edge in shots and a 4-0 advantage in penalty corners but the Lasers were unable to break through and the two teams went to the half tied at 0-0.

In the second half, Lasell was able to get the goal they needed for the win as Cristina Wilson knocked home a pass from Courtney Braman (Gardner, Mass.) inside the 41 minute mark. The Lasers would extend their lead to 2-0 when Ashley Gleason was the recipient of a loose ball in front of the net. The third goal was scored when Danielle Hottin lined home a pass from Kristine Jaskson (Medway, Mass.) on a penalty corner at 58:44.

Rivier junior goalkeeper Makenzie Flagg (Shirely, MA) stopped 10 of 13 shots on the evening while Lasell's Taylor Sheehan (Brewster, Mass.) did not face a shot on net as she earned the shutout victory.

The Raiders will close out the 2013 season this Saturday afternoon as they host Thomas College at 12pm. Lasell will return to action on Saturday as well as they travel to Farmington, Maine to battle the Beavers the University of Maine at Farmington.
