WALKER, JANSEN, & LENTINI LEAD LASERS TO VICTORY

Newton, Mass.-  Caitlyn Walker (Middlebury, CT), Stephanie Jansen (Glen, NH) and Amy Lentini (Wilmington, MA) led the Lasers to a 6-2 victory over non-conference opponent Daniel Webster College today, on Grellier Field.  Walker produced a hat trick, picking up six total points, Jansen finished with five points, on two goals and an assist, while Lentini had one goal and two assists for four total points in the contest.

Jansen opened the match at 3:41 with the Lasers first goal, fed by Lentini.  The following twenty minutes remained a 1-0 Lasell advantage, before the Lasers opened the flood gates and poured in three more goals before the intermission.


Lentini started the scoring at 25:33 when she dropped in her second goal of the season, unassisted.  Walker completed the first half of scoring with two back to back goals, the first of which was supplied by Hannah Cebry (Burlington, CT), the second was without an assist. 

Walker also opened the second half of play, completing her hat trick at 41:14, before Jansen scored off another Lentini pass to notch the final points of the game for Lasell.

The Eagles pulled out two goals in the final 20 minutes of the game, preventing a Laser shutout.  Natalie Bates (N. Kingstown, RI) delivered the ball to Sara Twardowski (Buffalo, NY) connecting with the Lasell goal in the 59th minute, then Bates followed again with her own unassisted goal at 61:49. 

Lasell kept the Eagles goal keeper Amy Prince (Hope Valley, RI) busy in net, with 30 shots overall.  Prince picked up 16 saves on the day.  Lasell's goalkeeper, senior captain Amanda Miller (Fall River, MA) produced 4 saves in the Lasers net.

Lasell hits the road for their final three regular season contests, starting with NAC rivals Husson College on Saturday, October 25th, at 6:00 p.m.
