Kristy Walter

Christine (Kristy) Walter was appointed the Director of Athletics in 1992. Since that time, the athletic department has enjoyed tremendous growth, increasing from four varsity teams and 40 student-athletes to 17 varsity teams and over 300 student-athletes.

After guiding the athletic program through the NCAA membership process in 1995, Walter oversaw the expansion of the department during Lasell's transition to co-education in 1998. She has played a leading role in significant improvements to the athletic program, including the addition of 14 full-time staff members, the construction and addition of lights to Grellier Field, the renovation of Taylor Field,  the installation of a new floor in the athletic center and the updating of the fitness centers.

During her tenure at Lasell, 18 teams have advanced to the NCAA Tournament, 10 teams have been selected to participate in ECAC Tournaments and 22 teams have won conference championships. Walter's responsibilities encompass all administrative issues related to Lasell University’s Athletics department, club sports and recreation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Allegheny and a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Northeastern.
