Newton, MA - The GNAC announced their weekly awards on Monday, and two Laser goalies were selected, as Lataya Simmons and Courtney Tello were both honored.

First-year goalkeeper Lataya Simmons anchored the Lasers on defense this week. She picked up a victory over Colby-Sawyer Monday (Oct. 23) in the regular season finale, collecting two saves in the process. Then, on Saturday (Oct. 28), Simmons picked up another victory and collected six saves in a thrilling quarterfinals victory over the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) to advance Lasell to the semifinals where they face Emmanuel.

Junior goalkeeper Courtney Tello was unstoppable at the cage for Lasell in a 2-0 week. The junior goalkeeper proceeded to collect 14 saves on the week as 12 of them came in their regular-season finale against Rivier on Tuesday (Oct. 24). In addition, she collected two shutouts, one of which came in the quarterfinal matchup vs Saint Joseph's (Maine) on Saturday (Oct. 28).
