Why did you decide to attend Lasell? There were many factors that drew me to Lasell. I loved the thought of having smaller class sizes in hopes of building strong relationships with my professors and classmates, which is exactly what I experienced. I also hoped to play field hockey at the collegiate division III level, and wanted to attend a college in my home state. Lasell was my perfect match!

Current Occupation/Job Title: I have two jobs! I am a full time account manager at Chares River Insurance Brokerage. I also teach indoor cycling/train classes at FireCycle Studio in Waltham.

Tell us about your job. What do you like most about your current role? I love being able to build and maintain relationships with customers at both of my jobs. I feel lucky to be able to be in two customer facing roles, as I have a passion for helping and motivating people.

How did your experience at Lasell help prepare you for what you are doing today? My experience at Lasell helped me build an amazing foundation for where I am in my professional career. I was required to complete an internship in order to get my Management degree at Lasell, and in turn, the insurance company I interned with ended up hiring me full-time after I graduated. As well, my leadership skills I gained as a captain on the field hockey team, and in the leadership scholar program at Lasell  also immensely helped me in my role as a fitness instructor.

What advice/insight do you have for Lasell alumni and current student-athletes interested in your career field? For those interested in the insurance industry, I would recommend doing research on which sector of the insurance industry interests you most, and work on getting a license or certification in that field. For those with a passion to work in the fitness industry, I would recommend finding what you have a passion for, as it makes work so much more fun.

Looking back on your time as a Lasell student-athlete, what is one of your favorite memories? I have such great memories and learning experiences from my coaches at Lasell. I learned so much from them, both on and on and off the field, and I am lucky to still keep in contact with them.

Have you attended Lasell Friends, Family and Alumni Weekend? If so, tell us about your experience returning to campus. I have attended FFAW at Lasell! It was so nice coming back to campus and seeing all the physical improvements, catching up with old peers/teammates, and participating in alumni athlete games. I am looking forward to the next one!
